Important Dates
Play Rehearsals
All students are to stay until 4:45 p.m. on:
January 31st, February 1st, and February 2nd. Please pick your child up at the gym doors at 4:45 p.m.
Monday, January 30: No Irish Dance practice.
Dress Down Day: students may wear nice jeans; please dress appropriately.
Wednesday, February 1: Play practice for all students until 4:45 p.m.
Buffalo Wild Wings School Fund Raiser at Ballwin from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Ten percent of your dine-in or take-out order will be donated to the school. Please take your child's fund raising coupon with you. See school bulletin for more details.
Thursday, February 2: Play practice until 4:45 p.m.
Friday, February 3: Drop off at 5:00 p.m. at the faculty lounge doors. Come in costume with moisturizer on your face and neck. Please bring a zip lock bag with your name on it containing: lipstick, mascara, & eyeliner. Students are to come directly to our classroom.
Saturday, February 4: Same as Friday.
Monday, February 6: No classes for sixth graders. Enjoy!
Subjects
Social Studies: We are concentrating on The Golden Age of Greece and Alexander the Great. Test id Wednesday. Please make sure your child is reviewing their study guide on a daily basis.
English: We are working on possessive pronouns. Please have them review their class notes in the back of their English notebooks and exercises in the front of their notebooks nightly.
Spelling/vocabulary: Unit 7, 8, & 9 Review vocabulary test Friday.
Religion: We will begin Chapter 10: A Conquering People. Test Wednesday. Please make sure your child is reviewing their notes nightly.
Please make sure your child is reading toward achieving his or her goal. This will eliminate unnecessary stress at the end of the quarter. New AR goals have been set for third quarter.
